In April 2005, Daniel Toyne’s production of Twelfth Night for the Stage Club sold out before it opened and by popular demand returned for a second run in May.

This year Daniel Toyne teams up again with Phil McConnell (The Caretaker, Twelfth Night) and Maureen McConnell (Talking Heads, The Real Inspector Hound) in the Stage Club’s production of Macbeth, perhaps the best known of all Shakespeare’s tragedies. It brings us so many familiar elements – witches and their prophesies and spells; murders and ghosts; the sleep-walking of Lady Macbeth.

Finally, Macbeth himself – one of the Bard’s greatest roles and the model of the destructive power of ambition.
