The Stage Club’s Musical Director, Andrew Fordham, is mixing up a sound treat for “Absurd Person Singular”. He explained: “It has been an interesting process looking back over 40 years to the time when radio in the UK was very different to what it is now.  There were only a few stations that people could choose from, and most of those were supplied by the BBC. I have found gems like Terry Wogan and Jimmy Young; Michael Aspel and Dave Cash (from Capitol), as well as contemporary editions of Desert Island Discs and The Archers. Putting all this in the mix, with tracks from Queen, The Carpenters and The Four Seasons, I hope that the sounds of yesterday will sit well with the era that the play comes from – and should delight and maybe surprise some in the audience.”
